Rebecca Mena’s Writings from the Soul of a Free Spirit is just that–deeply soulful poetry expressing the powerful moments that life has to offer: both the painful, vulnerable and confusing hardships and the pure sense of wonder that can follow a deeply spiritual, joyful experience. Woven between deeply imaginative descriptions of life are some true nuggets of wisdom. I found myself tearing up at moments and feeling a great sense of awe. Read this book. You’ll be glad you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Wise March 3, 2013

It’s crazy how words that seem so simple can come together and say so much. Rebecca Mena’s view of the world and of life is both beautiful and wise. Her words reminded me that even when I am stuck in a miserable place internally, I only need to look outside of myself to be in awe of all the amazing things and people that surround me.

I found myself re-reading her poems several times, because every time I read them I found something else I didn’t see before. And something else that I have felt before and could totally relate to.

Rebecca Mena’s writing is truly lovely! She has a real a gift and I hope she continues to share it with us in the future ~
